Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, was recently called out by Shaunie O’Neal over tweets where she said the “NBA is rigged.”

Ayesha Curry, the wife of NBA MVP Stephen Curry, received plenty of backlash after posting a controversial tweet after her husband’s team lost Game 6 of the NBA Finals. It appears that backlash is continuing, this time coming from Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife Shaunie O’Neal.

According to TMZ, the former wife of NBA great Shaquille O’Neal said of Curry’s tweet about her husband’s Finals game loss, “to say his job is rigged is sacrificing a whole lot of folks and their livelihood.” Shanie also posed the question, “Was it rigged when your husband was winning … or was it just rigged when he was losing? ‘Cause the tweet only came when he lost. So I just want to know was it rigged?”

In the original tweet from Ayesha Curry on her Twitter page, she said she had “lost all respect” as “this is absolutely rigged for money.” The tweet was later deleted most likely due to the backlash she was receiving over her harsh words towards the league her husband participates in where he won an NBA Championship with the Golden State franchise just last season, as well as back-to-back MVP awards.

In that previous social media message by Curry, she also said she wouldn’t “stay silent.” However, based on the deletion of the comments from her page, as well as saying she regrets making them, it seems highly likely she won’t respond to Shaunie’s attempts to engage her in a new battle.

Shaq’s former wife was the executive producer of “Basketball Wives” which aired for five seasons, ending the fifth in 2013. She’ll be featured on the FOX talk show “The Preachers,” which airs on Thursday. Ayesha Curry can be seen cooking up various dishes on her YouTube channel when she’s not stirring up things with the controversial comments.
