Pat Riley unsure about Chris Bosh next season.

The Miami Heat will have many issues to address next season. One issue revolves around who will step and provide the scoring and playmaking that was lost with Dwyane Wade gone to Chicago and another potential issue revolves around whether Chris Bosh will play next season.

With Wade gone from Miami, Bosh is looking at a much increased role on offense, that is if he is healthy enough and cleared to play during the 2016-2017 season.

Bosh, who is an 11-time All-Star, put up averages of nearly 19 points and seven rebounds per game last season in 53 games before having his season ended for the second straight year due to blood clot issues.

For Pat Riley and the Miami Heat, Chris Bosh’s blood clot issues are still lingering. Riley is unsure on whether Bosh will play next season, as he stated, “It’s always fluid and it always has been. It’s a positive environment right now with Chris and his doctors. I know he wants to play and we would be open to that. Let’s allow this process to move down the road and we’ll go from there.”

If Bosh were unable to play next season that would be another huge blow for the Miami Heat after losing Wade. Hassan Whiteside would have to be thrust into a larger scoring role on offense that he is not accustomed to, as he is mostly known for his defense and has never been a go to scorer. Though to Whitedside’s credit, he has said that he is working on his jump shot and ball handling this off-season.
