No word on whether he’ll join Greg Hardy and come out “Guns Blazin’.”

The good news for Broncos fans is that their star cornerback duo looks like it’s going to be just fine. Per FOX Sports:

"Talib, who suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg earlier this offseason, attended teammate T.J. Ward’s celebrity golf tournament on Monday and told reporters that he “feels great” and “should be” ready for camp, which begins July 26."

More from NFL

First the Broncos lost Peyton Manning to retirement. Then Brock Osweiler signed a large offer sheet with the Texans that they Broncos decided not to match. With the Talib incident and the Von Miller signing going down to the wire, the defending champs were having a rough go of it.

And now, some great news. Not only is Talib looking fully healthy, the shooting incident does not seem to be amounting to much of anything in terms of a criminal or even civil case. Talib is not facing any charges in the incident and the actual events of the evening are in dispute given that some people claim Talib accidentally shot himself. With so few facts, there’s not much to go on — and the story is likely to disappear into the ether.

The NFL is still investigating, and nobody legitimately has any clue what may come of an NFL investigation. As they have proven time and again, the rules don’t apply to them and no legal case existing does not preclude them from levying discipline on a player for violations of the “Code of Conduct” policy. And if they can’t get you for that … well, we all know by now they’re going to find a way.

For the moment, though, it looks like it’s good news for the Broncos. Their $60 million man won’t be losing any time, and they’ll be able to keep one of the most elite defenses in the NFL intact. They’re going to need it, given the heavy changeover at QB this off-season. Add in the return of Von Miller after he was almost traded, and an off-season that began to look like a bit of a disaster for the Broncos has worked out pretty well.
