Brooklyn Nets point guard Jeremy Lin recently unveiled his newest hairstyle on snapchat.

A new team brings a new look. It only makes sense that NBA star Jeremy Lin would change his hair up for his arrival in Brooklyn. The newest offseason acquisition for the Nets is now sporting cornrows. He posted the new look via some recent Snapchat updates.

During the offseason, Lin was wooed by several teams but none more than the Brooklyn Nets. He reportedly signed a three-year deal worth $36 million which included a third-year player option among other stipulations. Luckily for Lin, the team doesn’t seem to have restricted him from wearing any hairstyle he chooses. He’s come a long way from his debut in the league with a buzz cut.

This certainly isn’t the first time that J-Lin has worn a unique look up top. While with the Charlotte Hornets he had another crazy hairstyle, a sort of mohawk on steroids. The hair has made him an even more recognizable celebrity in the game today with a fan base that extends to several different parts of the globe. His “last season” style didn’t seem to get in his way either as “Linsanity” showed up throughout the year and was a part of the Hornets’ success in reaching the playoffs. His hair even doubled as an offensive weapon in one contest.

The Brooklyn Nets are hoping Lin’s latest cornrow look helps him assist a team which has been trending down for several seasons now. In his 2015-16 season with Charlotte, Lin averaged 11.7 points, three assists and over three rebounds per game. Brooklyn is probably hoping he’ll return to the “New York state of mind” he was in when he averaged career-highs in points and assists for their city rivals, the Knicks, back in the 2011-12 season.
