Odell Beckham Jr. continues to try to get in the head of new divisional opponent Josh Norman.

Josh Norman became a member of the Washington Redskins earlier this year in free agency, setting up two games a season against his most hated rival.

New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. infamously speared Norman in the head last season in a move that could have ended the cornerback’s career. To be fair to Beckham, both players were going at it all game, but there was no reason to escalate shoving at the line of scrimmage into something that could injure another player.

Beckham continues to act cocky and is made perfectly clear in a recent interview with GQ when he said he is the reason why Norman is relevant.

“It goes back to what I was saying. If I wasn’t playing him twice a year, maybe people wouldn’t bring it up as much. But now it’ll be a lot more media attention for him, attention that I don’t really look for, attention that I don’t need. The reason that he’s become so relevant is because of me.”

Norman can let this type of comment anger him, but he seems to be able to take the high road each time something happens, doing so once again:

“I don’t even know how you respond to that other than laugh,” Norman replied, via the Washington Post. “I don’t know what you get out of that. I don’t know, man. There’s a time when people who honor themselves will fall short, so when that day comes, we’ll just see.”

Laughing in a situation like this is the best option, as letting it affect his play would just be foolish. Norman will keep his mouth shut until his Redskins meet the Giants in Week 3 when both players will have the opportunity to prove who is better.
