Mojo Rawley debuts at WWE Battleground to save Zack Ryder (Video)

With Zack Ryder in dire straits at WWE Battleground after losing to Rusev, Mojo Rawley debuted to make the save for his tag partner

Fans speculated endlessly about the six NXT superstars that would be called up to the main roster in the WWE Draft after it was announced in the rules that there would be exactly that many. However, many fans only through out the names of the bigger superstars working down at Full Sail rather than looking a bit smaller at superstars who were actually drafted, superstars like Mojo Rawley.

Mojo Rawley had never been seen on WWE programming aside from NXT and quite frankly hadn’t been on NXT in quite a while either. So to see his name in the WWE Draft was a bit shocking to say the least.

So imagine the surprise of fans on Sunday night at WWE Battleground when, after Zack Ryder tapped out to Rusev in The Accolade and was getting destroyed after the match, the music of Mojo Rawley hit and the man who stays hype made his debut and the save:

That’s certainly one way they could have gone with this.

Though Mojo Rawley was never the biggest star in NXT, he truly could be a guy that is made for the casual fan and the main roster. His stay hype gimmick along with his size and general being could be endearing to fans, even if he’s not the greatest worker.

If that’s the case or not, we’re about to see as Mojo Rawley has arrived.
