The New Orleans Saints are going through a transition period while Drew Brees is still at the helm at quarterback. Although the Saints’ offense is just as dynamic as it has ever been with Brees, who still puts up huge numbers, the defense is a work in progress.

After finishing with bad defenses the last two years, the Saints have gone a long way in the last couple of drafts to try and reshape their defenses. This year, the Saints went all the way and really rebuilt their defense through high picks in the draft and they are hopeful that first-round pick Sheldon Rankins can become an impact player immediately.

There will be plenty of spots on defense up for grabs in training camp, as the team will officially report to the beautiful and world famous, The Greenbrier, on July 27. Like some other teams, the Saints will be traveling out of state for their camp in West Virginia.
