The Chicago Cubs and White Sox are in the middle of a four-game series, though it is not a typical four-game set. The first two games were played at U.S. Cellular Field, which is home to the White Sox, and on Wednesday, the series switched to Wrigley Field for the final two games. The White Sox won both games at home, so the Cubbies came into game three needing a win.

On the mound for the White Sox was Anthony Ranaudo, who was cruising up until the bottom of the sixth inning. With none on, Cubs’ star Kris Bryant came to the plate, hoping to get his team on the board. Down 1-0 in the game, Bryant worked a 3-1 count, before depositing Ranaudo’s 77th pitch over the left field wall for a home run.

The blast tied the game up, and ruined the young right-hander’s first shot at a no-hitter.

Take a look at the blast below:

The home run was Bryant’s 26th of the season, though it is just his first of the second half. The home run tied Bryant’s total from last season, when he won the National League Rookie of the Year. A two-time All-Star, Bryant is one of the best young hitters in baseball, and has helped the Cubs to first place in the National League Central.

The White Sox have been playing better baseball as of late, winning four straight games heading into Wednesday’s tilt. With the trade deadline in only a few days, the White Sox may be sellers, as they currently sit 5.5 games out of the American League Wild Card.
