Taking a look at when the Cleveland Browns will report to training camp in 2016.

The Cleveland Browns will look to surprise the world in 2016 after another rebuilding process has begun. Gone are quarterback Johnny Manziel and head coach Mike Pettine. Replacing them? Quarterback Robert Griffin III and head coach (and offensive guru) Hue Jackson. Jackson has a history of being a positive influence on quarterbacks and helping them maximize their potential. Perhaps he is the guy who can help Griffin return to his 2012 form when he looked like the NFL’s next dynamic superstar quarterback.

Cleveland will be getting wide receiver Josh Gordon back, though he will have to serve a four game suspension. The Browns are a much better team when Gordon is on the field. He’s a dynamic playmaker who is a threat to score anytime he has the ball. The Browns have missed that while Gordon has been suspended various times due to positive drug tests.

A fascinating camp storyline to watch will be seeing which defensive players step up. They have talent on the defensive side of the ball, but someone will have to replace linebacker Karlos Dansby, who signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, and defensive tackle Desmond Bryant, who will miss the entire 2016-17 season. Defensive back Scooby Wright should be an interesting player to watch as he could make an immediate impact on the Browns.

The Browns’ rookies have already reported to training camp, as they showed up in July 25. Veterans will report on July 28. Training camp will be held at the Browns Training Complex in Berea, Ohio.
