Derek Carr jumped into Khalil Mack’s press conference at Raiders training camp and opened himself up to a hilarious troll by the All-Pro

When you think about relationships and bonds within a team in the NFL, many times you think about things like quarterback-wide receiver, an offensive line, a defensive line, a secondary, or really just groups or pairs that have a connection when playing together. For the Oakland Raiders, though, they have one of the most hilarious in-team relationships to watch in the league between quarterback Derek Carr and defensive end Khalil Mack.

During the Khalil Mack press conference after practice at Raiders training camp on Thursday, that relationship was put on display in the best possible way.

Talking to the media, Mack was simply going about his usual business. However, Carr snuck into the scrum and asked the All-Pro defensive star who Mack’s favorite quarterback in the NFL is. Not missing the opportunity to troll Carr, Mack told his quarterback that his favorite was Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers.

Without missing a beat, Carr let Mack know that he was in fact a fan of Denver Broncos superstar defensive end Von Miller:

This is just almost too perfect for words.

Obviously there are hundreds of teammates in the NFL that like one another, but there’s something incredibly endearing about teammates like Khalil Mack and Derek Carr when they have the comfort to engage in this type of public banter. Even if their bond transcends offense and defense, it’s one of the many things that’s fun about this Raiders team right now.
