Olympics women’s basketball at Rio 2016 is going to be quite interesting to watch. Not only will it be looking to see if anyone can topple the two favorites in Team USA and Australia, but also in what figures to be a heated race for the bronze medal if those two teams ahead of the pack hold their place. Behind them are nine teams all with viable claims at the bronze and two of them will face off on Saturday as it’ll be Belarus vs Japan in preliminary round action.

Japan has a ton of talent on their roster and some hardware in recent tournaments to show for it. They won the 2015 FIBA Asia Women’s Championship and would love to be able to earn another medal for their trophy case for their time in Rio, but that’ll start with captain and point guard Asami Yoshida and big center Asako O.

For Belarus, they may not have won any international tournaments lately, but they’re a team always looking competitive on big stages. That’s the hope for what they’ll be able to do and more in Rio as forward Nataliya Trafimava leads the way.

This game will be live streamed on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app at tip-off, but won’t air on TV until 11:15 p.m. ET when it is shown on the Olympics Basketball Channel.
