After a long offseason where they lost the last game of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks are ready for 2016. Both teams have big aspirations heading into the season. In theory, both the Chiefs and Seahawks should be in position to compete for the division title. However, fans will see first-hand how close both teams are to achieving those goals on Saturday. It’ll be the Chiefs welcoming the Seahawks to Arrowhead Stadium for each team’s first NFL preseason game.

For the Seahawks, they’ll be looking at a number of things to start the preseason. Worrying about Russell Wilson isn’t on the agenda, but seeing how healthy Thomas Rawls is in the backfield most definitely is. Additionally, Seattle will get a look at their chaning offensive line to see what they’ll be able to do initially. Defensively, the Seahawks are expected to be the same stalwart they always are.

Meanwhile, Kansas City comes into this preseason matchup with plenty to have their eyes on. Again, watching Alex Smith or Jeremy Maclin shouldn’t be a concern of theirs. However, examining newly signed quarterback Nick Foles as a backup and seeing the rest of the offense will be. Moreover, Andy Reid and company will want to make sure that the defense is headed toward peak form.
