Olympic modern pentathon live stream: Watch online – August 20

The Men’s Modern Pentathlon has American Nathan Schrimsher right in the mix to win an Olympic medal. Here’s how to watch the event’s finals online.
While the women completed their modern pentathlon on Friday evening, the men will have their shot at Olympic glory when the bulk of their competition gets under way at 12:00 PM local time (11:00 AM ET) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
With only the majority of the fencing portion out of the way, the United States’ competitor in the Men’s Modern Pentathlon in Nathan Schrimsher has a realistic shot to medal in the five-sport event on Saturday.
He finds himself in ninth place and only 48 points back of the leader in Russia’s Alexander Lesun. Lesun set an Olympic record with 268 points in the fencing competition at Youth Arena on Thursday. He’ll be in great position to medal should he be able to build on his staunch lead in the standings.
Though the Men’s Modern Pentathlon final begins promptly at noon in Brazil, it will be rather difficult to see most of the competition on Saturday. The only time coverage of the Men’s Modern Pentathlon can be seen on American network television is at 10:00 PM ET.
USA will air a delayed telecast of the Men’s Finals until 12:00 AM ET Sunday morning. This airing will run in conjunction with the Men’s and Women’s Finals in the Heavyweight Divisions of taekwondo. It is in one’s best interest to make great use of the available live stream via NBCOlympics.com to not miss a second of olympic modern pentathlon action.
