Here is your complete guide for the Sprint Cup television schedule from practice through qualifying and the race on Sunday.

With the regular season winding down before the Chase begins, the Sprint Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway this weekend. The two-mile paved track is the fastest on the NASCAR circuit as proved by Jeff Gordon’s qualifying record of 206.558 mph set in 2014.

This is the track where Dale Earnhardt Jr. believes he suffered a head injury that has kept him out since Kentucky in June. He was involved in a wreck, but drove the following week. He has been out of the car with concussion-like symptoms since. This will be the sixth straight race he has missed and is already out for next week at Darlington.

Right now the track is pretty green because of rain and drivers are trying to figure out where the line is for qualifying as well as Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400. Early practice times are hovering around the 195 mph.

The Sprint Cup drivers will get just one practice run before qualifying later this afternoon.

Joey Logano, in the No. 22 Ford for Penske Racing,  won the first race at MIS this year taking the FireKeepers Casino 400 besting Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson for the title. In last year’s Pure Michigan 400, Matt Kenseth notched his third victory of the season. He would go on to win two more, at Richmond International and Loudon in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Following the race, those on the outside looking in for the Chase will get just two more chances to find their way into the Round of 16 that will begin on Sept. 18 in Chicago.
