Watch a San Francisco 49ers fan express his First Amendment rights by burning a Colin Kaepernick jersey to the the tune of the Star-Spangled Banner.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has decided to not rise for the playing of the national anthem the last three preseason games due to racial oppression that he’s noticing across the country.

Kaepernick had the right to express his First Amendment rights as an American by his own choice of freedom of speech. Many NFL fans have expressed either their support of Kaepernick’s rights or have chastised him for not being patriotic.

Then there’s this guy, who clearly wins social media on Saturday. This 49ers fan expressed his First Amendment right in the most awesome way: burning a Colin Kaepernick 49ers jersey to the tune of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Wearing a Patrick Willis No. 52 jersey, the gentleman quickly lights the corner of a No. 7 Kaepernick thread before the Star-Spangled Banner commences in the background. He steps back from the blazing jersey, removes his ball cap, and then salutes to burning fabric of clothing in a very ironic way.

The flame gradually builds and by the time the 45-second video is completed, the Kaepernick jersey hanging from a tree in his yard somewhere is completely unrecognizable. It’s going to be difficult, maybe even impossible for Kaepernick to win back the football fans he has alienated with his actions on Friday. Just seeing somebody burn a Kaepernick jersey is this manner is hysterical.
