Mike Holloway shredded the North Dakota State University defense for a ridiculous 47-yard TD run.

North Dakota State University came into the 2016 college football season as the No. 1 ranked team in the FCS Coaches’ Poll. In fact, they were the only school to receive even one vote in the poll. Coming off a National Championship last season, the Bison were expected to run the table in 2016.

With a championship in 2016, the Bison will run their streak to six consecutive National titles. Last season, the team had the luxury of having Carson Wentz under center. Wentz was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, leaving a huge hole at quarterback for the Bison in 2016.

On Saturday, the Bison opened up their 2016 regular season against one of the better teams in the country. The Charleston Southern Buccaneers are currently ranked number six in the FCS rankings, and boast one of the better running backs in the FCS. He made his presence felt early in the third quarter.

With not much scoring go on at the half, Charleston Southern got the ball to start the second half, and running back Mike Holloway put on a highlight reel run.

Holloway took an option pitch from the quarterback to the left side, racing up the sideline. He then cut right, crossing across nearly the entire field, while leaving the defense in his dust. It was a 47-yard touchdown to give the Buccaneers a 9-3 lead, but the play has to be seen to be believed.

The Buccaneers will face another huge test in two weeks, as they travel to Florida State to take on the Seminoles. Last season, Charleston Southern went 10-3, losing to Jacksonville State in the FCS Playoff quarterfinals.
