Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr hit receiver Amari Cooper with a bomb for the touchdown during Saturday’s preseason game.

During Saturday night’s NFL preseason action, Oakland Raiders fans got to see the return of the “AC/DC connection.” Quarterback Derek Carr found receiver Amari Cooper in a highlight-worthy play with Cooper hauling in a big time touchdown catch.

After Carr gets the ball in the shotgun he airs it out down the field in Cooper’s direction. Cooper makes an athletic grab and while moving full speed ahead, manages to make sure both feet are down for the catch. Initially, there was some question as to whether or not the play might get overturned as Cooper bobbled the ball towards the end of the catch.

After the official review, the touchdown catch was in fact, good. It helped Oakland grab a 14-13 lead over the Tennesse Titans in the preseason matchup. It was also Carr’s second TD pass of the night as earlier he found DeAndre Washington for the short catch.

Cooper, who is in his sophomore season with the team, will look to build upon his rookie year stats. In 2015 he had 72 receptions for 1,070 total yards and six touchdowns. Carr, who will be entering his third season, has been on the upswing. Last season he had 350-of-573 completed passes for 3,987 yards and 32 touchdowns.

That said, Raiders fans are hoping for big things from the team this season. Despite all the recent talk of a move to Las Vegas, fans in the Bay Area are excited. The team finished below .500 last season at 7-9, good for third in the division. However, the Broncos are without the retired Payton Manning, so Oakland may be able to gain some ground in the AFC West.
