The Denver Broncos are reportedly attempting to trade Mark Sanchez. Here are five teams who would be a good fit.

After a disastrous preseason that saw Mark Sanchez throw an interception to go with a pair of lost fumbles, the Broncos are looking to move their veteran signal-caller. Sanchez, 29, was acquired by general manager John Elway from the Philadelphia Eagles for a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Still, with Trevor Siemian emerging as the starter, Sanchez’s days are numbered in the Mile High City.

So where does Sanchez go? Here are five teams that would make some sense…

5. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have to be terrified of Ben Roethlisberger missing any time. After watching Landry Jones throw four interceptions in Week 2 of the preseason agasint Philadelphia, it became apparent that there is reason for great concern.

Jones is better suited as a third quarterback on the roster. WIth Roehtlisberger’s penchant for missing a few games here and there, the Steelers should think about taking on Sanchez. While it didn’t work out in Denver, Sanchez is arguably a better fit in Pittsburgh. The Steelers won’t ask Sanchez to be mobile and have a terrific running back tandem in Le’Veon Bell and DeAngelo Williams.

The Steelers are hoping to make a playoff and perhaps Super Bowl push. That won’t be happening if Jones has to play any real snaps. For all his flaws, Sanchez has proven he can play in the big game and come up aces.
