Former Oklahoma Sooners star Gerald McCoy had a hilarious reaction to his alma mater’s performance against No. 15 Houston in Houston on Saturday.

Gerald McCoy was a star defensive tackle at Oklahoma and on Saturday, McCoy became a star Twitter user.

His alma mater has been in a dogfight with the Houston Cougars in Houston on Saturday afternoon and the Sooners are losing the fight. Baker Mayfield and the high-power offense have been shut down by a stellar Houston defense.

However, McCoy got them a couple of points off the field with a tweet of his reaction during the second half of the game.

There’s a rule on Twitter: If you Crying Jordan yourself, you will receive your blessings and all of the good fortune. (That’s not a rule at all, but it’s really funny when someone does it to themselves.)

McCoy’s Sooners are getting beat up on both sides of the ball for most of the game and it shows on the scoreboard. Houston took a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter and even got a “kick-six” from Brandon Wilson in the third quarter to give the Cougars a little cushion on their lead.

Things aren’t going well for Sooners, but McCoy is being a good sport about his school’s season-opening game and that’s all you can ask for. (No, seriously. It is. He doesn’t have any eligibility left.)

As for McCoy’s current team — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — they’ll kick off their 2016-17 season in the NFL on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. McCoy’s coming off a 2015-16 campaign where he logged 8.5 sacks for the Bucs and made his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance.

McCoy missed out on the All-Pro First Team last season, but if this stellar tweeting continues, he’ll join the All-Pro First Team of Twitter users and I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.
