In the first 2016 match-up between AFC West teams, the San Diego Chargers will travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs. Here is how to watch online.

The AFC West should be a pretty tight division in 2016, as all four teams will do battle throughout the year. The San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the divisional schedule on Sunday, as the Chargers travel to Kansas City. The Chiefs are an early favorite to win the division, but will face a hungry Chargers team in Week 1.

On paper, the Chiefs have one of the stronger rosters in the division. Despite having running back Jamaal Charles most likely out for Week 1, they still have plenty of weapons available. The Chargers run defense is not great, so expect a big game from Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware on Sunday. Once Charles returns, Kansas City will have the deepest backfield in football.

On the defensive side of the ball, Kansas City will be without linebacker Justin Houston, who is not fully ready to return. He is still battling back from an ACL injury he suffered last November against the Buffalo Bills. The Chargers should be able to put up some yardage against the Chiefs, but this is definitely a winnable game for Kansas City.

Old faithful returns for the Chargers in 2016, as Philip Rivers will once again be under center for San Diego. He will look to hook up with his favorite target, Antonio Gates, who should once again be one of the better tight ends in football. Expect a lot of looks for Danny Woodhead, who will be used in the passing and running game for the Chargers this season.

The Chiefs are loaded this season, and even without Charles, they should run all over San Diego. The Chargers will put up some points, but it will just not be enough. Expect a Kansas City victory on Sunday.
