Pokemon GO took the world by storm when it released a few months back and now, it’s coming to the Apple Watch.

When Pokemon GO released this past July, it became the biggest craze in mobile gaming and quite possibly the video game industry. With over 500 million downloads to date, it’s still going strong and it may be the biggest video game of the year.

There’s no doubt that because of updates and recent changes to the game, some people have stopped playing Pokemon GO and because of that, it has forced developers Niantic to change some things in order to bring these players back to catching the all. With recent updates things have made the game significantly better and now, if you own an Apple Watch, you’ll be able to play the game very soon.

During the Apple Special Event on Wednesday, it was announced that Pokemon GO will officially be coming to the Apple Watch. During the event, video games have had a pretty strong presence, considering that right before this announcement, video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto was on stage announcing that Super Mario Run will be coming to iPhone devices. Shortly after that announcement, developer from Niantic stepped up on stage to explain just how it works.

From what they explained, Pokemon GO is still the same game we remember on the Apple Watch, but it’s just a different way to play. For example, you open up the app right on your watch and if a Pokemon pops up in your area, you will get a notification.

With Pokemon GO on the Apple Watch, you will also never miss a Pokestop, which is great news.

Pokemon GO will release on the Apple Watch before the end of 2016.
