Buffalo Bills fans hold mock funeral for 2016 season (Video)
Buffalo Bills fans have already given up on their team’s season.
There is perhaps no sports city who has endured more pain over the years than the city of Buffalo. The Buffalo Sabres have been mediocre recently and have never won a Stanley Cup. But at least they aren’t the Buffalo Bills, who have the distinction of losing four straight Super Bowls. After a ego deflating 13-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, some Bills fans are already done for the season.
It’s hard to blame Bills fans for their pessimistic outlook on their team. They are coming off one of their worst offensive performances as a franchise. Though their defense certainly stood out against the Ravens, they gave up drive extending plays and allowed the Ravens to eat up the clock. Of course, their defense’s performance meant very little since their offense only put together one sustained scoring drive.

Tyrod Taylor, despite pedestrian numbers, is not the man to blame for the woes of the offense. The Bills did not attempt many deep passes because the Ravens did a phenomenal job of taking the deep pass away. They forced Taylor out of the pocket consistently and forced him to go for short passes. Taylor’s skills are best utilized for deep passes.
Rex Ryan has some concerns that he must address. Their receivers and running game were sub-par, to say the least. They also did a poor job of protecting Taylor. It’s hard to complete passes when you’re running for your life to avoid sacks. They will have a short week, as they play the New York Jets on Thursday. The Bills will have to beat the Jets despite Sammy Watkins battling through pain. If things don’t pick up for the Bills, Ryan could find himself looking for a new job.
