It didn’t take long for Josh Norman to start picking fights with his new teammates, as he almost started one in Week 1.

Cornerback Josh Norman has a bit of a reputation of being a fiery guy. He is very competitive and often gets physical with teammates, hoping to pump them up. The new Washington Redskins corner got involved with teammate David Bruton in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night and they had to be separated.

Luckily, DeAngelo Hall was able to calm the duo down before things got too violent. But it is a bit concerning that Norman is already not getting along with his teammates. In addition, the two players got a stern talking to by defensive back coach Perry Fewell.

Norman signed a huge five-year contract with the Redskins that could be worth as much as $75 million. He is one of the NFL’s elite corners, but he has attitude problems. Regardless, Norman is an asset to the Redskins as the NFC East has several dangerous receivers. Those receivers include enemy Odell Beckham Jr., Jordan Matthews, and Dez Bryant.

The former Carolina Panthers cornerback has seven career interceptions and 181 tackles in his first four seasons. He has 37 passes defended and returned two passes for a touchdown last season.

Bruton, like Norman, isn’t going anywhere because he signed a three-year deal with the Redskins back in March. Originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round, Bruton’s deal could be worth as much as $9 million. He has 162 career tackles with three interceptions and was a member of the Broncos’ Super Bowl team.

Norman and Bruton have not argued since the incident, so perhaps they have patched things up. But things tend to not be boring whenever Norman is around. It remains to be seen what caused the fight, but it seems to have been solved.
