With The Last Guardian being delayed two months further, we’ll now have to wait even longer to play this high anticipated game.

The Last Guardian has been a very interesting game throughout the years. When talking about its development, the game was first announced in 2007 and after that, we never heard about it again. Many felt that the game was canceled or the developers were still hard at work, but The Last Guardian was in a strange state of limbo.

Then, we officially got another look at the game with updated visuals, extensive gameplay and most importantly, the same charm we remember seeing almost a decade ago. At E3 2016, it was announced with a brand-new trailer that The Last Guardian will release in October of 2016, but on Monday, straight from PlayStations blog, they released an update on the game.

President of Sony Computer Entertainment Shuhei Yoshida released a statement that you can check out below.

"Fumito Ueda, gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio have a wonderful vision for The Last Guardian’s touching, emotional journey of friendship and trust, and we want to deliver the most polished experience possible for our fans who have supported us for so long. A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take extra time to work on those issues."

The good thing about this delay is the gamers will have a more polished game and an overall better gaming experience with the game. Although we’ve been waiting so long to play it, the delay is only for two months, so we’ll be alright.

The Last Guardian will now launch on December 6, 2016, exclusively on the PS4.
