As expected, Barcelona began its La Liga season with two wins in their first two games. What did not go according to plan, however, was the loss they suffered last week at the hands of Leganes at home. In the interim, the Blaugrana took out their frustrations on Celtic in a dominating 7-0 Champions League group stage game that included a Leo Messi hat trick. Now, they travel to the outskirts of Madrid, having dropped valuable early points and looking for more revenge. The three-headed attack of Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez looks to maintain its form, and a fully healthy squad means Luis Enrique can plan ahead for matches on the horizon by rotating the squad. After coming off the bench against Celtic, Ivan Rakitic may very well start in place of Andres Iniesta rather than beside him.

Like Alaves before them, Leganes are recently-promoted and play with relatively little to lose. After beginning the season with a 1-0 win over last-place Celta de Vigo, Leganes managed a 0-0 draw against Atletico before losing to Sporting de Gijon. Their attack is rather limited, with only defenders having yet scored, and their three at the back will likely look more like nine for most of this match. They will look for chances on the counterattack. It is tough to imagine Leganes beating Barcelona, but then, it was tough to imagine Alaves doing that too.
