With Michigan up 10 points on Colorado, Jabrill Peppers was looking for the dagger and he may have stuck it in the Buffs with a punt return for six.

You might have heard of Jabrill Peppers. He’s a very good football player for the University of Michigan.

During the third quarter of Michigan’s game against the Colorado Buffaloes, Peppers was kicked to by the Buffs and it was a line drive on the punt attempt, which is never a good thing.

The result was inevitable for Colorado.

Here’s a pro tip: Don’t punt the football to Jabrill Peppers, especially a line drive.

Peppers’ 54-yard touchdown return gave Michigan a 45-28 lead in a game that they were in a dogfight in for a chunk of the day. The Buffs led by two scores twice in the first half, but ever since Colorado took a 21-7 lead, the Wolverines took over on a 38-7 run and have pretty much put the Buffs away for the day.

Earlier in the game, Peppers returned a kickoff after a Colorado touchdown 55 yards that set up a Michigan touchdown just two plays later. (Once again, don’t kick the ball to Jabrill Peppers.)

Saturday was a struggle for the maize and blue, but they don’t appear to be suffering the Florida State syndrome of being a top-5 team in the polls and losing this weekend.

As for Peppers, if it wasn’t for the silliness that is Lamar Jackson and his three-game production to kick off this season, he would definitely be receiving more hype for the Heisman Trophy. It’s hard to be acknowledged when a quarterback has 18 touchdowns in three games, but still, Peppers is pretty good.

If the College Football Playoff started next week, Michigan would be in the dance as the No. 4 with hated rival sitting a spot ahead of them at No. 3 in the polls. There’s a lot of ballgames left, but get used to seeing Jabrill Peppers.
