The Texas Tech Red Raiders run a triple reverse and another toss back to the quarterback to score a touchdown on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs defense.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders know a thing or two about drawing up crazy offensive plays in their Air Raid offense under head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Defense remains a serious issue in Lubbock, but the Red Raiders look absolutely brilliant on this touchdown pass on a hapless Louisiana Tech Bulldogs defense.

Already up 28-10 on the Bulldogs halfway through the second quarter in Lubbock, the Red Raiders draw up something real special here on a first and 10 from the Bulldogs’ 42-yard line. Texas Tech star quarterback Patrick Mahomes hands the football off on a jet sweep out of shotgun formation.

The wide receiver runs to his left and then proceeds to toss the football to the wideout that lined up on the opposite side line of him. The new wide receiver in possession of the football runs to the middle of the field near the line of scrimmage to only toss the football back to Mahomes.

Mahomes handles pressure in his face fantastically and tosses it to wideout Jonathan Giles, the wide receiver to initiate the jet sweep, for an impressive 42-yard touchdown on a slip screen. On that play, Texas Tech successfully made the Louisiana Tech defense look like Texas Tech on the other side of the football.

Texas Tech couldn’t stop the Arizona State Sun Devils last weekend in their high-scoring loss to the Sun Devils. The Red Raiders will struggle to win games out of the Big 12 if Texas Tech cannot improve on defense. In the meantime, the Red Raiders are about as fun to watch run the Air Raid offense as any Power 5 program in the country. The Red Raiders looked fantastic on this paydirt.
