Ole Miss showed their killer instinct against Alabama once again with a merciless touchdown. This score did not come without controversy, though.

No. 19 Ole Miss has put themselves in prime position to upset their SEC West rival, Alabama, once again with another touchdown. The Rebels extended their lead to 24-3 over the top-ranked Crimson Tide with a ruthless play that led to a fumble recovery touchdown. Crimson Tide freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts continued to struggle and took a massive hit before losing the ball. The officials are sure to be criticized for missing a penalty and letting this touchdown stand.

Nonetheless, the Rebels have clearly outplayed the Crimson Tide in the first half. They have already beaten Alabama as underdogs for two seasons in a row, and it appears even more likely that they will make it three. However, the Crimson Tide can never be counted out until the clock expires. They have already fought back with a couple of touchdowns to close out the first half and cut the lead to 24-17.

The Ole Miss defense has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, though. They are clearly determined after blowing a 22-point lead in a season-opening loss to Florida State. Quarterback Chad Kelly has taken care of the ball and thrown for 167 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-13 passing.

Fortunately for the Crimson Tide, their season will be far from over even if they lose to Ole Miss again. Their previous season consisted of an early-season loss to Ole Miss before ending with a national championship. It remains to be seen whether the Rebels can bury an angry Crimson Tide team for good once again and get back in the SEC title hunt.
