Lions at Packers: Week 3 inactives
Let’s take a look at the official inactive report for this NFC North battle between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.
In a matchup between 1-1 teams, this is an important game for the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions this week. The 2-0 Minnesota Vikings are rolling along in the NFC North, and if they win this week, the loser of this game could be in trouble.
Make no mistake about it, this is an important one.
The inactives for this one are extremely interesting. The Packers are not only missing five defensive starters in this game, arguably their two best defensive players (linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Sam Shields) are also out.
The Lions’ offense has played well this season. Matthew Stafford and company could be in for a big day against a depleted Packers’ defense.
The Packers’ defense is not the only one who is missing pieces in this one. The Lions will also be without arguably their two best defensive players, as DE Ezekiel Ansah and LB DeAndre Levy will miss this game.

The Packers should be able to protect Aaron Rodgers well without Ansah on the field, and Rodgers should be able to attack the middle well without Levy out there.
On top of missing two extremely important defenders, the Lions will also be without starting running back Ameer Abdullah. Theo Riddick, Dwayne Washington and to a lesser extent Zach Zenner will be relied upon to pick up the slack without Abdullah.
Here are the complete inactives for today’s game:
With so many injuries, neither team is at full strength in this one. That being said, this should be a fun offensive game that will undoubtedly be worth watching. Make sure to check it out.
