CMPD arrested a man outside Bank of America Stadium on Sunday after discovering a gun and ammunition in his bag.

North Carolina is un turmoil after a week of protests, and that has carried over to Sunday’s NFL contest at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. There were conversations about whether or not the game should even be played but things went off as planned, with protesters outside of the stadium making their voices heard.

While police protests are nothing new, there are indeed cops that know how to do their jobs. That was proven once again on Sunday when Charlotte Metro Police arrested a man outside of the Panthers stadium after discovering he had a weapon in his bag.

According to WSOC in Charlotte, local police arrested a man who reportedly had an unloaded pistol and a full magazine clip in his bag.

It’s unclear if the man was a protester or if he wished to do harm to the protesters. All we do know is that he’s not in the equation anymore thanks to the swift work of the CMPD. Protesters have a right — more than a right — to protest the oppression and abuse that the black community has suffered at the hands of police.
