Week 5 is here and the FanSided staff is ready to make their college football picks and predictions for the week’s biggest games.

The FanSided office pick ’em is getting tight after the Week 4 games saw my lead over my co-workers shrink to one game with Mike Dyce in hot pursuit and a host of challengers lurking in the distance. Week 5 begins for us on Friday night with Christian McCaffrey and the Stanford Cardinal traveling to Washington to take on Chris Petersen’s Huskies team that is looking for a statement win.

But the real fun is Saturday, of course, as a quartet of marquee matchups await, including a pair of matchups involving top-10 teams. In the Big Ten, No. 8 Wisconsin travels to No. 4 Michigan and in the primetime affair Lamar Jackson and the No. 3 Louisville travels to Clemson to take on Deshaun Watson and the No. 5 Tigers.

As we continue to rotate in FanSided site experts to participate in our weekly pick ’em, we are joined by Andrew Boardwine from our Clemson team site Rubbing the Rock.

The toughest games to agree on this week was Louisville-Clemson as you would imagine. The staff gives Louisville a 6-5 edge in this game despite the Cardinals being the road team.

Another game I didn’t think would be so one-sided is Texas-Oklahoma State, but only me and Jack are taking the Pokes to take down the Longhorns. Could the two college football aficionado’s be onto something? Or will they end up looking foolish together come Saturday night?

Either way, hope you’ll follow us all weekend long on FanSided for extensive college football coverage.
