The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will look to keep their perfect record intact when they take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium.
Wake Forest has been one of the biggest surprises in the nation with a 4-0 start to the year. That includes two road Power Five wins, as the Demon Deacons shocked Duke in Week 2 and beat Indiana 33-28 last Saturday in Bloomington.

The four wins are already the most Wake Forest has recorded since Dave Clawson took over in 2014. Wake Forest’s defense is giving up just 16.5 points per game and recorded five interceptions against the Hoosiers, including a pair from redshirt freshman Jessie Bates.
NC State is off to a 2-1 in start in an important season for fourth-year head coach Dave Doeren. The Wolfpack suffered a tough loss to East Carolina in Week 2 before bouncing back the next Saturday with a 49-22 victory over Old Dominion.

Senior running back Matt Dayes is headed for another productive season with 51 carries for 312 yards and two touchdowns, along with 10 catches for 82 yards.
