In case you thought Rex Ryan would handle his team’s victory over the New England Patriots with decorum, think again.

The Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots by a score of 16-0 this afternoon. It was sweet redemption for Rex Ryan, who has been on the hot seat after the Bills got off to another slow start this season. The victory was also sweeter because it gave Ryan a chance to do what he does best — poke fun at the Hoodie himself, Bill Belichick.

With his tight-lipped approach to media relations, Belichick is a bit of an easy target for a big personality like Ryan.

Ryan had previously kicked off Patriots Week by trolling Julian Edelman on a media conference call and questioning about playing quarterback. It’s a good thing the Bills were able to pull out a win today, otherwise Ryan’s media antics would have blown up in his face yet again. The bombastic coach went on to respectfully answer questions about his team’s win, acknowledging that the Patriots were not at full strength, operating with their third-string quarterback.

Ryan improves to 4-12 all time against New England, and his victory today hardly comes without an asterisk, as the Patriots were without Tom Brady. Still, a win is a win, and you know Rex is enjoying this one. The Bills improve to 2-2, and take on the Los Angeles Rams next week. This win only goes to further the point that the NFL is a more fun place when a team led by Rex Ryan is winning games.
