Toronto Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnación launched a walk-off home run to eliminate the Baltimore Orioles in the Wild Card Round.

The Toronto Blue Jays have a return date with the Texas Rangers. With the Baltimore Orioles in town for the Wild Card Round, it was win or go home. It was a game that spanned extra innings and had plenty of classic moments on the night. In the end, it was Edwin Encarnación playing the role of the hero.

As Ubaldo Jimenez left him a good pitch to hit with runners on base, Encarnación launched the baseball into left field. The crowd in attendance lost their minds, as playoff magic once again carried their team to a huge win. It wasn’t just any walk-off home run either, it was a massive one as well.

The game had a playoff feel the entire night, as neither team could get a leg up on the other. If last season was any indication, every game involving the Blue Jays should be a classic this fall. Now, the Blue Jays will take on the Rangers in a heated rivalry.

Benches cleared last postseason and a brawl occurred during the regular season this year. These two teams hate each other and each out will be emotional to the last.
