Andrew Luck gave the Indianapolis Colts the lead back with a flawless touchdown pass to T.Y. Hilton.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck continues to prove his value to a deeply flawed Colts team. The Colts defense has continued to struggle against a lowly Chicago Bears team. They have allowed backup rookie running back Jordan Howard to run rampant all over them. However, Luck worked his magic in the fourth quarter. He heaved a beautiful pass to wide receiver T.Y. Hilton for a 35-yard touchdown. This gave the Colts a 26-23 lead with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter.
The Colts have since extended their lead to 29-23 with a crucial field goal by Adam Vinatieri. Hilton has had a great game of his own with 10 receptions for 171 yards and a touchdown as of his touchdown catch. Luck has thrown for 322 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions on 28-of-38 passing.
It comes as no surprise that Luck continues to cover up major flaws on the Colts roster. Hilton also continues to be the clear No. 1 receiver in this high-octane offense.
With the win, the Colts improved their record to 2-3. This enables them to pull within a game of the Houston Texans in the pitiful AFC South. The Colts will face the Texans in their next game, which will give them the opportunity to reach first place.
The Texans will certainly have a much easier time against the Colts defense than a top-notch Minnesota Vikings defense. However, Luck will not be easy to stop if he can take advantage of the absence of injured star J.J. Watt.
