After serving his four-game NFL-induced suspension, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was serving notice to the Cleveland Browns defense on Sunday.

Don’t know if anyone has heard but New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is back playing football for his team. His return following a four-game suspension began with a date with the Cleveland Browns.

Breaking news? Hardly. It also hasn’t been a surprise that the four-time Super Bowl champion has gotten off to quite the start. The star signal-caller began his 17th NFL season by hitting on 18 of his 25 passes in the first half, good for a whopping 271 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Both of those scores went to one of his newest teammates in veteran tight end Martellus Bennett. The team’s other first half touchdown came courtesy of a LeGarrette Blount one-yard run. New England opened up a 23-7 lead at intermission with an assist from the Browns themselves as rookie quarterback Cody Kessler fumbled a ball out of bounds in the end zone for a safety.

Meanwhile, Patriots’ wideout Chris Hogan has seemingly enjoyed his time playing with the legendary quarterback. He was targeted four times and caught all four passes for 114 yards in the first half alone.

The numbers are ugly if you are Cleveland and pretty impressive if you are the Pats. New England outgained their hosts in total yards, 321-105, in the first half.

Ouch.
