NFL Week 6: Super Bowl 51 odds
NFL Week 5 is in the books. Who are the front-runners in the latest Super Bowl 51 odds?
The New England Patriots have been a popular Super Bowl 51 pick ever since the beginning of the season. However, the Green Bay Packers opened the season with the best odds to win. Then Patriots posted an impressive 3-1 record without their star quarterback Tom Brady. Now Brady is back and the Patriots have the best odds (according to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook) to win the Super Bowl:
- New England Patriots: 7-2
- Green Bay Packers: 5-1
- Pittsburgh Steelers: 6-1
- Seattle Seahawks: 7-1
- Minnesota Vikings: 8-1
The Packers continue to be a strong favorite thanks to their strong-armed quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. The defense also deserves a lot of credit as they enter week 6 as the number one ranked defense in the NFL against the run. They are allowing just 1.99 yards per attempt, an incredible number.
Somehow the Steelers offense has only gotten scarier as the year has gone by. Le’Veon Bell is back after DeAngelo Williams filled in for him valiantly during his suspension. So long as the three headed monster of Ben Roethlisberger, Bell and Antonio Brown stay healthy, the Steelers have as good a shot as any of taking home the Lombardi trophy.
The Seahawks have seen their fair share of nicks and bruises to Russell Wilson and their running backs, but their defense keeps them afloat. They lead the NFL in total defense allowing an average of just 264 yards per game.

Rounding out the top-five in odds are the undefeated Vikings. It’s amazing what this team has been able to do without Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson. Similar to other top teams, the Vikings boast an intimidating defense and an up-and-coming cornerback in Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes has impressed, shutting down top receivers like Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins so far this season.
On the other hand we also have to recognize the two teams with the lowest odds of winning Super Bowl 51. The San Francisco 49ers are going off at 5000-1 while the Cleveland Browns hold amazing 9999-1 odds of winning. If you bet on the Browns and hell freezes over, congratulations.
