Keys to Victory

The Falcons were able to get a jump on the Broncos last week because of their offense. They got points on the board early and that forced Denver to try and mount a comeback with a rookie quarterback. Things will be a bit different against Russell Wilson this week.

Although he has been hobbled with nagging injuries, Wilson should be a lot more healthy after the bye week. It still won’t be easy for him, as Atlanta had six sacks last week. The offensive line for Wilson is going to have to protect him to give Seattle a chance on offense.

On the flip side, the offensive line for Atlanta has been fantastic. They need to be great this week again, so that they can get yards on the ground. Matt Ryan has been exceptional, but not even he wants to test the Seattle secondary more than he has to.

Prediction

This is a good game between two good teams. It’s also a potential playoff preview and the winner of this game could ultimately be hosting the other in the playoffs. Atlanta has been fantastic to date, but Seattle is a different beast at home. If Julio Jones was at his best and not hurt, this would be swung in Atlanta’s favor. The Seahawks will edge out a tough one at home.

Pick: Seattle 27, Atlanta 24
