Ohio State only managed 172 yards in the first half against Wisconsin, and Jabrill Peppers wanted the whole world to know that.

For the first six weeks of the season, Ohio State played like the class of the Big Ten. But if they were an unstoppable force, Wisconsin’s front seven has been an immovable object. And despite how talented they are, the Buckeyes are still made up mostly of freshmen, and the Badgers have exposed their inexperience.

In the first half, Wisconsin led 16-6, and outgained them 313-172. It was the first time all season that they haven’t scored a touchdown in a half, as nothing has gone right for them.

Michigan was off, but you could bet they were watching closely. They already beat Wisconsin earlier this season, and if Ohio State lost, they practically control their own destiny. One Michigan player who was definitely watching was Jabrill Peppers. After the Buckeyes’ sluggish first half, this was all he had to say:

Although the way he tried to brush it off was hilarious:

It appears the only thing that can rival Peppers’ on-field play is his Twitter game. He made headlines back in Week 2 of the season when a group of Ohio State fans called Malik Hooker better than him, and he snapped. Since then, he has played a hand in just about every one of Michigan’s wins, and has demonstrated his value as a three-way star. You can tell that Jim Harbaugh has influenced him in plenty of ways.

While Peppers’ Heisman stock has skyrocketed, J.T. Barrett’s has dropped. His passing game was ineffective against Indiana, and it’s looked even worse against Wisconsin. He’s done most of his work on his feet, but he needs to get his receivers involved if he wants to mount a comeback.

This game is a lot like Ohio State vs. Michigan State from last year. The Buckeyes played not to lose rather than to win, and following the game, Ezekiel Elliott lashed out at only getting 12 carries. But while Ohio State bounced back from that game to blow out Michigan, the two teams are trending in opposite directions this year. The Wolverines may very well get the better of them in Week 13.
