Things got crazy in Week 7 of College Football action, but what do the upsets — and near-upsets — mean for the AP Poll this week?

College football got wild again this weekend, and it’s not long before things start to shake up the playoff picture in a way that almost needs to happen. Ohio State survived a scare against Wisconsin and Houston almost got knocked off by Tusla.

There were a few contentious moments in the Alabama-Tennessee game, but that was pretty much locked up from the start. Still, with all that happened in college this weekend, there could be some shakeups at the top. Michigan is banging on the door for a Top-2 spot in the country and Ohio state having a tough time against the Badgers was something that had wolverines and excited.

Here’s a look at the AP Poll for Week 8 in College Football:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Clemson

The only thing that changed in the Top-4 was Michigan leapfrogging Clemson to get within one spot of Ohio State. This is all setting up an epic matchup between the two teams that will determine which squad will emerge in the playoffs.

5. Washington
6. Texas A&M
7. Louisville
8. Nebraska
9. Baylor
10. Wisconsin

Baylor cracked the Top-10, which is sure to make people feel all kinds of conflicted about that. But let’s focus in on Washington, who just needs to stay dormant long enough to watch either Ohio State or Michigan take the there one out, thus opening up a spot in the Top-4.

11. Houston
12. West Virginia
13. Florida State
14. Boise State
15. Florida
16. Oklahoma
17. Arkanas
18. Tennessee
19. Utah
20. Western Michigan

21. Auburn
22. North Carolina
23. Ole Miss
24. Navy
25. LSU

We’ll have to wait until next week to see if any other titans fall from the ranks.
