The Dallas Cowboys are riding a four-game winning streak but have never fared very well at Lambeau Field. Can they beat the Green Bay Packers?

There’s an unexpected big battle in the NFC this Sunday as the surprising Dallas Cowboys take their four-game losing streak north to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers.

Unexpected in regards to the fact that Jason Garrett’s club has already equaled last season’s victory total in just five weeks this year. But now they face a club that has beaten them five straight times (including a playoff meeting in 2014). The Cowboys have also dropped four straight at Lambeau Field dating back to 2009.

But the big clash here is the sumo confrontation between Dallas’ offensive line and the front seven of the Packers. Garrett’s club leads the league in rushing yards per game while Green Bay is number-one in the NFL in run defense.

The Cowboys have run for 180 or more yards in each of their last three outings. In a total of four games this year, the Pack has allowed a total of 171 rushing yards.

And by the way, Dallas rookie quarterback Dak Prescott continues to excel in his debut campaign as the team has turned over the football just three times all season.

It shapes up as an intriguing matchup in “Titletown” as Aaron Rodgers and his teammates look to make it three straight wins this season.

Three Stars

1. Ezekiel Elliott

Behind arguably the league’s best offensive line, the fourth overall pick in April’s draft leads the NFL with 546 yards on the ground. Elliott has rushed for 130-plus yards each of the last three weeks and has scored a team-high five touchdowns this season. He looks like the early favorite for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors but he and his team have a tall task ahead of them on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

2. Aaron Rodgers

There has certainly been some discussion when it comes to the two-time NFL MVP and much of it has not been positive. The Packers have scored 98 points in four games this season but only 22 in the second half. Rodgers has thrown three times as many touchdown passes (9) as interceptions (3) but is completing only 56.1 percent of his throws. The Dallas pass rush shouldn’t be much of a factor and it will be interesting to see if the talented pro is primed for a big outing.

3. Davante Adams

Last season, an ankle injury and a severe case of the dropsies derailed the wideout’s second NFL season. This year, Adams is starting to once again look like the player the Packers opted for in the second round in 2014. This season, the third-year performer ranks third on the team with 13 catches and 184 yards but is second on the club with three touchdown receptions. He could be the difference against an improving Dallas secondary.
