Steelers wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey took the ball on an end around and delivered a crushing blow to a Dolphins defender en route to a TD.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been bringing some crushing hits to the Miami Dolphins early on Sunday. It hasn’t just been on the defensive side of the ball early. They’ve been bringing the lumber on offense and it all starts with Darrius Heyward-Bey.

As the Steelers had the ball around midfield, they ran an end around with Heyward-Bey. He got a great head of steam going and he picked up some positive yards as a Dolphins linebacker closed in on him. That’s when he lowered the shoulder and trucked the defender into oblivion.

From there, Heyward-Bey was off to the races and no one could stop him. It was a huge play, but even more of a surprising one from Heyward-Bey. He’s known for his speed and ability to get separation from receivers, but this level of physicality is something new.

That wasn’t just your typical run the defender over without remorse. That was pure carnage and absolutely brutal blow. It’s a good sight to see for the Steelers and one that could have them re-evaluating how they use their receiver going forward.
