Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints will travel to Kansas City to take on Alex Smith and the Chiefs on Sunday in a Week 7 NFL match-up.

The New Orleans Saints will do battle in a hostile environment on Sunday, as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Arrowhead Stadium is one of the hardest places in the NFL to play, as the Chiefs have been nearly unbeatable at home in recent years. Both teams are coming off of huge wins in Week 6 and will be looking to continue their winning ways.

Last week, Drew Brees and the Saints rang up 41 points on division rival Carolina, as Brees threw for over 400 yards for an NFL-record 16th time. Brees also threw for four touchdowns as the Saints held on for a 41-38 win. The defense for the Saints has been a problem all season, and they will be going against one of the best rushing offenses in the league on Sunday.

The Chiefs went on the road and beat a very solid Oakland Raiders team this past week, as they shook off a drubbing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their previous outing. Against the Steelers in a Sunday Night Football match-up, the Chiefs were beaten 43-14, but they had a bye week to prepare for the Raiders. Kansas City ran the ball all over the Raiders offense last week and will likely do the same against a porous Saints defense in Week 7.

Jamaal Charles continues to battle back from a torn ACL suffered last season, though he was worked a bit more into the offense against the Raiders. However, it was backup Spencer Ware who stole the show, rushing for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown. Charles also scored a rushing touchdown as the Chiefs soundly beat Oakland 26-10. Expect the combined scoring in this one to be a bit higher.

New Orleans is going to put points on the board, but they just do not have the talent on the defensive side of the ball to handle the Chiefs’ multi-faceted offense. Brees once again is one of the top signal-callers in the league, and he already has thrown for 14 touchdowns this season. The Saints have not lost in October, and are averaging 38 points per game, so expect them to put up a fight on Sunday.

The issue here is the Chiefs are loaded on both sides of the ball, and their young secondary continues to get better every week. This week will be one of their biggest tests of the season, as no matter the talent around him, Brees always seems to put up numbers. Kansas City will make enough plays in the game to win this one by a touchdown.
