Many Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians and baseball fans alike had strong reactions to seeing the Cubs make it to the World Series.

The Chicago Cubs prevailed over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series. After a 5-0 victory, the Cubs will be going to the World Series to face the Cleveland Indians. This marks the Cubs’ first National League pennant since 1945.

They will attempt to win their first World Series since 1908. Cubs fans obviously have plenty to be excited about. Many of them will be seeing the Cubs in the World Series for the first time in their life. Cubs fans on Twitter certainly didn’t hold back their excitement.

Many baseball fans also seemed puzzled with the fact that the Cubs are top dogs in baseball right now. Although history has shifted course many times in baseball, fans remembered how different things are now. In addition to the World Series, many of them mentioned other past and current events that nobody saw coming at first.

There was certainly no shortage of Indians fans wishing the Cubs no luck in the upcoming World Series. Plenty of them and people rooting against the Cubs expressed their desire to see the Cubs’ World Series dreams crushed.

Let it sink in — the Chicago Cubs are headed to the World Series.
