Lamar Jackson and the Louisville offense had their second first quarter score with this long touchdown.

Lamar Jackson and the Louisville offense has already been torching North Carolina State. The sophomore quarterback had a 36-yard rushing score to open the game, putting the Cardinals up, 7-0. This came after a quick drive into NC State territory, which led to them being unable to stop this dynamic athlete.

A short time later, Louisville would add a field goal to go up, 10-0. They then stopped NC State on offense but had to start inside their own 20 for the next drive. However, this one didn’t last long as Jackson added a passing touchdown to his Saturday stat sheet. He launched a pass to wide receiver Jaylen Smith, who bolted to the end zone for a 74-yard touchdown. This put the Cardinals up, 17-0.

This latest Louisville touchdown, which is Louisville’s longest of the season, can be seen below.

The Cardinals have simply dominated their ACC opponent on Saturday. Not only is it the offense, but the defense hasn’t allowed NC State to sniff a first down. It’s a bit surprising given how they nearly upset Clemson last Saturday.

The Louisville offense has been unstoppable all season being led by Jackson. He had 30 total touchdowns coming into Saturday’s game and already has added two more. There’s still three quarters left, so he could add a handful more.

Everything that Jackson does will be added to his Heisman Trophy profile. He’s arguably the frontrunner for the award, which will be given out in December. There are others like Deshaun Watson and Trayveon Williams in the hunt, but they really haven’t been close to the star for the No. 7-ranked team.
