UCLA wide receiver Jordan Lasley one-upped the Bruins’ last touchdown with a spectacular big-play score of his own.

The UCLA Bruins are not going down without a struggle against the Utah Utes. The Bruins have tied the game up at 35 in the third quarter with another big play. Sophomore wide receiver Jordan Lasley took it 75 yards to the house for a touchdown. He used his breakneck speed to blaze past Utah defenders. Lasley broke a tackle before sprinting his way to the end zone, though.

UCLA quarterback Mike Fafaul has performed admirably as a backup. Starter Josh Rosen is sitting out after suffering shoulder and leg injuries against Arizona State. Fafaul has thrown for 342 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Lasley has broken the 100-yard barrier with his touchdown catch along with Nate Iese. They each have five receptions.

Iese scored a 50-yard touchdown earlier to put himself over the mark. The Bruins have excelled at making big plays. They are hoping to avoid continuing their 2016 season with a losing record. The Bruins entered this game with a 3-4 record. Meanwhile, Utah came in with a 6-1 record. They are also ranked 19th in the country.

It remains to be seen who will ultimately come out on top in this offensive shootout. The stakes are high for both teams. The Utes are looking to keep their hopes of winning the Pac-12 South alive. They will need to hold off the Colorado Buffaloes, who improved to 6-2 with a win over Stanford. Meanwhile, the Bruins are looking to stay in bowl game contention. This will be even more difficult if they fall to a 3-5 record, though. They will have to face the Buffaloes on the road in their next game.
