The college football rankings saw a big shakeup this week with Ohio State and Texas A&M falling from the ranks of the unbeaten. Find out how far they fall and who is on the rise in this week’s FanSided Top 25.

We’ve needed a shake up and we got it, however, I’m not sure it’s as big as others may think. This past week gave us some Heisman contenders and, the continuation of a possible Heisman season for the ages. Speaking of the Heisman, A certain running back down on the bayou announced his campaign in historic fashion.

This week’s rankings have us saying goodbye to Houston and saying hello again to LSU and to Virginia Tech who begins this week’s rankings at No. 25.

The ACC Coastal race might’ve been restarted this past week as Virginia Tech takes out Miami. The Hokies and Tar Heels have been going back and forth in the division but it’s the Hokies who have the advantage in head to head. However, Tech’s loss to Syracuse a few weeks back is paramount in this scenario as UNC still leads the division.

Next week Tech will travel to Pitt for a huge divisional matchup that could push Virginia Tech back to square one as we hit the late stretch of the season.

It’s time to believe in LSU again, I think? Maybe, I’m not sure.

Regardless of how you feel, it was good seeing the Tigers actually play like themselves again when they played rival Ole Miss on Saturday. Speaking of back, Leonard Fournette had a historic game even by his standards against the Rebels. 16 times Fournette carried the ball and on those 16 carries he scored three touchdowns and left a bunch of red and gray in his wake. For those wondering if Ole Miss is really back, we’ll find out when Alabama comes to town in a few weeks.
