Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross launched a shot to center and became the oldest person to hit a home run in a World Series Game 7.

History has been made in Game 7 of the World Series. After the Chicago Cubs elected to bring in Jon Lester to pitch, they brought in catcher David Ross to catch for him. Lester gave up a couple of runs, but Ross was able to pick him up with the bat.

With Ross up to the plate in the following inning, he hit the ball to a place it had been traveling all night. He would become the oldest player ever to home in a World Series Game 7 and the Cubs went wild in the dugout.

The ball landed right over center and it was the third time on the night that the ball had landed in that area. Dexter Fowler led the game off with a home run right in the same spot and Javier Báez would hit a shot close to there later on in the game.

Ross has been an instrumental player for the Cubs, because of his ability to catch Lester and his veteran presence. Seeing him hit a home run in the final game of the World Series was a great sight for Cubs fans everywhere.
