These are the best bets that you can make against the spread in Week 10 of the college football season

We have reached the 10-week mark of the 2016 college football season and, quite frankly, things have gone fairly well in this space. Week 9’s slate began with a rough start before Saturday, but we recovered (quite) nicely and our picks are sitting at a robust and profitable 58 percent against the number this season. With that in mind, let’s check up on the specifics of where we stand:

  • Last Week: 6-4
  • Season: 51-37-1

Winners are fun and, hopefully, they will continue to flow. Let’s roll with this week’s picks.

UCLA and Colorado UNDER 58 points

I am tempted to give out the Bruins in this situation, as UCLA enters as a double-digit underdog for the game. Colorado is the better team and that is something that must be said, but the Bruins are quite frisky on defense that feels like a close-fought battle. When it comes to the total, though, both of these defenses rank among the top 35 in the country according to S&P+ ratings and UCLA probably isn’t running up the score without Josh Rosen under center. It’s not “fun” to take the under in a late night game on a weekday, but it’s the right move here.

Vanderbilt and Auburn OVER 45 points

I promise you are reading that right. I’m giving out an over this week. Usually, I will ride with Vanderbilt and under, but this Auburn offense is (suddenly) cooking and it would not surprise me if the Tigers hit this total with their own scoring alone. If Vanderbilt gets to 10 points, I would feel very, very good about this bet and I think the ‘Dores can help us out a little bit in this spot.
