Apparently when you win a World Series title, you start doing a lot of trust falls.

In case you just woke up from under a rock, the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series in 108 years. Naturally, a fan base that has been so starved will have mixed reactions to winning. Some might pop champagne or shoot off some fireworks while others do trust falls. The trust falls that these fans are doing aren’t even while standing on the ground, they’re from extremely high up:

This has gone too far. Listen, Cubs fans. All of America would like you guys to live through this celebration. Don’t get me wrong, we want you to celebrate, but maybe in a safer way? There’s basically two ways of spinning this type of behavior:

  1. Wow, I’ve never seen a more tight-knit fan base than this! The Chicago Cubs truly are the most die-hard fans because they’re willing to trust each other with their lives, literally! It looks like the closeness of the team has rubbed off on its fans.
  2. Act like you’ve won a World Series recently! Okay, well…we understand you haven’t won in a while but you’ve got to understand how painful concrete is, especially from that high up. You can celebrate and love the Cubs, but how about safely?

If you’re reading this, you’re probably thinking one of those two things, or maybe even a mix of both. Hold on just a second though, this isn’t the first time Cubs fans have done this while celebrating! On Wednesday night when the team won, the streets of Chicago were going crazy. This prompted one fan to start the trust fall bonanza from a light post:

Alright, you crazy kids. Soak in the title but please don’t get hurt. The Cubs have a very real chance of repeating next season and we want everyone alive and well for their next run!
